Horace Empowerment Inc. is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization founded in 2004 by Markeith and Rosalene Horace, a husband-and-wife team. Established for the purposes of Charity and Education, Horace Empowerment Inc. provides teen workshops, cosmetology scholarships, and donations for youth and young adults interested in careers in the field of cosmetology and salon ownership.
After 15 years of hosting an annual Scholarship Hair and Fashion Show in Columbus, GA, The Hair Connection, Horace Empowerment decided that Stylists, Barbers, and other Beauty Professionals needed to be recognized and awarded for their talents. In 2011, they began hosting The Beauty Honors along with many different events to recognize locals in the beauty industry.
