In a delectable addition to the local culinary scene, a new Black-owned dessert shop has opened its doors, promising a sweet escape for dessert aficionados. Nestled in Midland Commons, this franchise of the national Cinnaholic brand is quickly becoming a favorite spot for those with a fondness for all things sugary and satisfying.

Owners Kimberly and Phil Farley bring passion and expertise to the venture, having honed their skills through years of dedication. Drawing inspiration from their values and family lifestyle, they infuse each creation with a unique blend of healthy flavors and flair that sets their offerings apart.

“We want to make sure our customers feel love and kindness when they visit our establishment,” said Kimberly. “Customer service is most important to us. We really want to connect with the community in a positive way, and what better way to do that than with a bit of sugar?”

From velvety “create your own” cinnamon rolls to refreshing soft serve, the menu boasts an array of indulgent treats sure to delight even the most discerning palate. Signature items include a plethora of decadent cinnamon rolls, banana bread and brownies, each crafted with care and attention to detail.

“I have never received service like this. The line was long, but it was so worth it! I’ll definitely be back,” one customer said.

Beyond the mouthwatering desserts, Cinnaholic is also committed to making a positive impact within the community. Each of their delicious options is 100% vegan, dairy and lactose-free, egg-free and cholesterol-free. Partnered with Gypsy Goat Coffee, the dessert shop serves as a gathering place, fostering connections and creating opportunities for collaboration and growth.

“We partnered with Gypsy Goat, a local coffee roaster because we live here and want to keep the hometown feel, especially if we expand over the years. This is home for us,” said Kim.

Locals have been quick to embrace the new establishment for its sweet offerings and warm and welcoming atmosphere. Many patrons commend the Farleys for their dedication to quality and unwavering commitment to their craft.

As word continues to spread, the future looks bright for this burgeoning dessert shop. With its irresistible sweets and heartfelt mission, it’s poised to become a beloved fixture in the neighborhood for years to come. So whether you’re craving a midday pick-me-up or searching for the perfect treat to mark a special occasion, be sure to pay a visit to this charming Black-owned gem.
