On Friday, January 5, 2023, the Columbus branch of the NAACP will host their 49th annual Freedom Fund banquet…Thriving Together. The guest speaker for the event will be the Honorable Congressman James Clyburn of South Carolina.
Congressman Clyburn is a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives from South Carolina. He has served as House Assistant Democratic leader since 2023, having previously held the position from 2011 to 2019. Clyburn additionally served as House Majority Whip between 2007 and 2011 and between 2019 and 2023. Currently, he is in his 16th term.
The annual banquet will be held at the Columbus Convention and Trade Center, 801 Front Avenue in Columbus, Georgia, beginning at 7 pm. Tickets are on sale now at $100 each. Reserved tables are also available. For ticket information, call 706.358.9202.
