Arrest Made in Deadly Hit-and-Run Incident
The Columbus Police Department’s Motor Squad has made an arrest in the hit-and-run investigation that claimed the life of
1. Delontaye Taylor: "I would be spending more this Christmas because I have a wife and seven kids, and they are going to want stuff doing the season. So, yeah. I want to make sure they have a good Christmas."
2. Marquise Todd: "More because the prices are up slightly this year than before, and I just had a new baby."
3. David Britt: "I will be spending about the same but trying to be more thoughtful about where we spend it. I’m looking for different sales, and going out earlier, as opposed to doing everything at the last minute. We are probably paying the same, but we are just being more thoughtful about where we spend it and making sure it goes slightly further.”
4. Javon Santiago: "Most definitely more because the price of everything is so high. They do not match the wages with the prices. They are throwing at us, so we got to spend more."
5. Jables Scheffer: "Probably more because we have been busier. Last year, not many people were out spending money. Being a tattoo artist, more people are getting tattoos this year than they were last year. So, I got a little bit more money and I'll definitely be spending a little more."
6. Jeanette Island: “I plan on spending less because the cost of living is so high. We can't afford to do what you did over the years.”
7. Tracy Mitchell: "We’ll be spending less this year. Everything is so expensive. I have to try and let the money stretch because everything is so expensive. So, I'm going to try and spend it wisely but still get great gifts."
8. Corey Osborn: "I'm spending somewhat less because it's been a recession, and because we have been in a war - a couple of wars - and a lot of money is being tied up. It hasn't been flowing fluently through the community. Being a barber, I can see the influx… For me to stay on the safe side, I prefer to shop using coupons and finding big deals to help me stretch my money. Being that I'm a single parent, every red cent counts so that I will be on the more conservative side this year. I may get one or two gifts and ask the family if they want the money instead of me having to make major purchases. So yeah..."
