At the time, a beer can happened to be on the counter, sparking the name Drink N Spill. The podcast officially launched in October 2022."
Question: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and what inspired you to start your podcast?
Answer: "My name is DeAndre Moye. I was born in Monroeville, Ala., and grew up in a small town called Vredenburgh, Ala. (both in Monroe County). To be honest, my podcast was inspired by the music and artistry that have always influenced me deeply."
Question: What’s your process for choosing topics and guests, and how do you prepare for interviews?
Answer: "I don’t follow a strict process when choosing topics or guests. I go with my instincts and freestyle the show, letting creativity flow naturally."
Question: Have there been any memorable moments or surprises during your podcasting journey?
Answer: "One of the most memorable surprises came when I started seeing the numbers for the podcast grow. That was the moment I realized I was on the path to something bigger. I aim to follow the same route as creators like Kai Cenat (an American online streamer, YouTuber and influencer, who specializes in comedic live streams and videos) as I expand my platform."
Question: How has podcasting changed you personally or professionally?
Answer: "Podcasting has made me reflect on how being in the public eye can affect my personal life. For example, I’m currently single, but I’ve realized that if I were to go public with a significant other, it would bring added attention and complexity."
Question: What are your long-term goals for Drink N Spill, and how do you see it growing over the next few years?
Answer: "My long-term goal is to elevate Drink N Spill to the level of the Joe Budden Podcast (The Joe Budden Podcast is a talk and music podcast released twice a week that began in 2015). While the show is primarily focused on music reviews, I enjoy bringing my own unique personality and flair to it. Since starting in 2022, the podcast has grown locally and in terms of audience numbers. I want it to continue growing into a household name, showing people that a country boy from a small town can achieve big things."
Question: How can people find your podcast or get in touch with you to be a guest?
Answer: People can reach out to me through my Facebook page. Just send me a message or inbox me to secure a spot. My podcast, Drink N Spill, is streamed on Facebook and can be found on my page of the same name. I’m always open to interviews or connecting with listeners who want to engage with the show.
