The Muscogee County School District is set to launch "I Love My Future Week," a district-wide initiative aimed at helping students explore their interests and plan for their futures.
The event, running from Feb. 10–13, 2025, will engage students from Pre-K through 12th grade in a series of activities focused on career exploration, goal-setting, and future planning.
Guided by MCSD school counselors, the week will feature age-appropriate programming tailored to different grade levels.
Younger students will participate in interactive sessions that emphasize creativity, teamwork and foundational goal-setting skills. Middle school students will be introduced to career options and activities designed to prepare them for high school, while high school students will engage in workshops on college, technical training and career readiness.
Community partners and local professionals will also contribute to the initiative, providing real-world insights and mentorship to inspire students as they map out their futures.
“This is an exciting opportunity for students to discover their potential and take steps toward achieving their dreams,” said MCSD’s Director of Counseling and Social Work Services Dr. Trikella Nelson.
Parents seeking more information, including specific event schedules, are encouraged to contact their child’s school counselor.
