MCSD Monitor Weather in Light of Severe Weather Conditions

The latest forecasts from the National Weather Service predict severe weather conditions, including heavy rain and possible sleet for the Tri-City area on Friday, January 10, 2025.

Therefore, the Muscogee County School District has announced it is closely monitoring the situation in coordination with weather officials to determine the best course of action.

"The safety and well-being of our students and staff are our highest priorities. As such, the district is actively participating in weather briefings and conducting risk assessments to ensure all necessary precautions are taken," said a statement released by the district.

At this time, there are no anticipated changes to school schedules.

"A decision regarding any adjustments to the schedule will be made and communicated by the end of the business day tomorrow, January 9, 2025," the statement said.

In the meantime parents should:

  • Visiting the MCSD website.
  • Following MCSD's social media channels.
