Local NAACP and Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance To Host Press Conference To Address The Untraditional Sudden Appointment to Fill A Vacant Seat On City Council

The Columbus Branch NAACP and the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance (IMA) will hold a press conference on Wednesday, Mar. 12, 2025, to discuss the unexpected appointment of John Anker to fill the vacant seat of At-Large Councilor Judy Thomas. The groups will also address recent allegations of mismanagement leveled against City Manager Isaiah Hugley.

The press conference will begin at 4 p.m. at the City Service Center, located at 3111 Citizens Way in Columbus.
