Let’s Grow STEAM, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing education in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, has launched a cutting-edge technology lab at its headquarters in the Marshall Success Center in East Columbus.
The lab is designed to enhance year-round college and career readiness programs for youth ages 7–17, and is set to make a lasting impact on the community.
Funded by Amdocs and its Black Professionals Employee Networking Group, the Digital eXperience Technology Lab Program will bridge the digital divide and foster diversity and inclusion in underserved communities.
Amdocs, a global software and services provider, partnered with BPENG to establish the lab as part of its commitment to driving real change through community empowerment.
“Our new technology lab is a game-changer for the future leaders and families we serve,” said Robbie Branscomb, founder and CEO of Let’s Grow STEAM. “Thanks to the incredible support from Amdocs and BPENG, we can deepen our impact, empowering youth with the skills and confidence to succeed in college, career and beyond.”
The state-of-the-art lab will integrate technology and engineering into Let’s Grow STEAM’s programming. Initiatives include hands-on projects such as designing, building and racing gravity cars, along with workshops and training that align with the demands of a tech-driven workforce.
“This initiative embodies our mission to bridge the gap between education and opportunity,” said David Britt, board chairman of Let’s Grow STEAM. “The technology lab will not only inspire innovation but also prepare our future leaders to confidently take their next steps in college and career paths.”
The expansion aligns with Let’s Grow STEAM’s strategic goal of providing equitable access to education and professional development opportunities in underserved communities. The nonprofit’s programs emphasize communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, which are essential for success in high-demand industries.
Amdocs lauded the collaboration as a step toward empowering underrepresented groups.
“The Dox(i) Technology Lab Program is more than just a gift—it’s a commitment to uplifting communities and providing young leaders with the tools to thrive in a competitive, tech-driven world,” said Curtina Brewton, president of BPENG at Amdocs.
