Horace Empowerment to Host 10th Annual Beauty Honors Awards

Horace Empowerment Inc. will celebrate a decade of excellence with the 10th Annual Beauty Honors Awards, recognizing local beauty professionals while raising funds for youth-focused initiatives.

The event, which honors stylists, barbers and makeup artists, including Lifetime Achievement recipients with more than 30 years of professional service, is set for Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Bibb Mill Event Center, located at 3715 1st Ave., Columbus. 

The evening will begin with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m., followed by dinner and awards. Tickets are $60, with partial proceeds supporting cosmetology scholarships and youth programs.

In addition to recognizing beauty industry excellence, the event will feature the Business Boost Award, a $1,000 scholarship supporting new beauty entrepreneurs. Over the years, Horace Empowerment has provided more than 24 cosmetology scholarships and funding for programs such as Beyond the Diploma and Track and Field Honors.

Proceeds from the event also support mentorship, college readiness and athletic scholarships for young people. Community members are encouraged to attend, sponsor, or donate to continue empowering students and future entrepreneurs.
