Columbus, GA — The much-anticipated Carver/Spencer Heritage Bowl will now be held at A.J. McClung Memorial Stadium on August 23, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. This decision follows a collaboration between the City of Columbus and Muscogee County School District officials to upgrade the stadium's lighting.
In a statement, the Muscogee County School District expressed excitement about the change, “This change is effective immediately and ensures that attendees can expect the same level of excitement and community spirit that the Heritage Bowl is known for,” said a district representative.
The city’s third-party vendor played a crucial role by reallocating resources to complete the lighting upgrades in time for the game. This collaboration highlights the community's dedication to preserving the tradition of the Heritage Bowl, a historic event celebrated by many.
