Sometimes life takes unexpected turns that lead us to new passions. This was exactly the case for Andre Lacy, owner of Andre's Topshelf food truck.
Lacey’s story began as a football player at Eastern Kentucky University. After an injury cut short his college football career, it opened the door to something else he loved—cooking. Lacy started selling plates to friends and teammates, discovering he had a real talent in the kitchen.
In 2020, he took a leap of faith and turned that passion into Andre’s Topshelf food truck business here in Columbus, Georgia.
The menu offers a variety of mouth-watering dishes from flavorful wings, crispy catfish, juicy burgers and pineapple cake. Having had the pleasure of meeting André, we were honored to see him whip up a batch of some of his fan-favorite specialty wing flavors for everyone in line to try.
Each bite was packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned and cooked to crispy perfection. The wings were a zesty and tangy combination that garnered rave reviews from customers. It's no wonder they’ve become a must-try item for anyone visiting the food truck.
The service was amazing and incredibly fast. Andre’s Topshelf is a family-owned and operated business that serves every dish with a smile giving customers a taste of that home-cooked feel on wheels.
For those eager to taste what all the buzz is about, the food truck operates Wednesday through Saturday, with daily locations posted on @Dres_topshelf on Instagram and Facebook.
