On Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021, Columbus Police Officers responded to a call regarding an unresponsive person in the area of 12th Ave. and 20th St. Upon arrival, officers found Malik Easton, 28, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.
The Violent Crimes Unit assumed the investigation.
During the preliminary investigation, surveillance footage revealed two individuals walking in the area with firearms moments before the shooting.
While the video quality is not optimal, investigators are hopeful that someone may recognize the individuals or have information that could assist in identifying them.
