What is a County Administrator and what does the job entail? The County Administrator oversees, administers, and manages the day-to-day operations of the Russell County Commission. This position provides financial and administrative leadership to the County and develops and maintains the County budget with input from the department heads and County Commissioners. I am also responsible for the administrative tasks that affect the entire County.

Can you share some of your background and experiences that prepared you for your role? I worked for United Way of Chattahoochee Valley for over 18 years, mostly in fundraising, marketing, and engagement. For 15 years, I was the staff liaison in East Alabama, so I developed many relationships with community leaders. I am also a product of Russell County.

How do you give back to the community outside of your role as County Administrator? Being community–centered is very important to me. I’m currently a member of the Phenix City Rotary Club, a board member for the Chattahoochee Valley Community College Foundation and a board member for the Russell County Schools Education Foundation. I’ve also served in many roles on the East Alabama Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
