The 34th annual Fountain City Classic is set to take place this weekend in Columbus, bringing the long-standing football rivalry between Albany State University and Fort Valley State University back to A.J. McClung Memorial Stadium.
Known for its high-energy atmosphere and community pride, the Classic is expected to draw thousands of fans for a weekend of festivities celebrating HBCU traditions, sportsmanship and unity.
With events ranging from tailgating to the popular halftime show, the Fountain City Classic continues to be a significant cultural event in the Columbus area, attracting alumni, families and students alike.
